Parliament

This term we have been learning about Parliament. We have looked at the difference between government and parliament, NZ parliament, who is in government, how our government works and we compared democracy to dictatorship.

Three things that I learned are NZ parliament are:

• I learnt about the different roles in Parliament. 
• I also learnt about the different between Parliament and Government. 
• I learnt about the governor in general and what she does.

Maths- Read any fraction,order fraction's with the same denominator,Count forwards /backwards in 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 and 1/10

What I found easy and what I found challenging?

-For Identify the fraction the thing I found easy was counting the fraction to make the answer to the question and the thing I found challenging was remembering to count all the lines that there were.

-For Arithmetic sequences with fractions the thing I found easy was adding the next number on the end the thing I found challenging was when the numbers were all in different orders and you had to try make the denominator the same and what you did to the one below you had to do to the top.

-For Identify fractions on number lines the thing I found easy was counting where the dot was on the lines and then adding them up but there was nothing I found challenging.

technology

On Tuesday the year 7/8 go to technology.

On the way to technology I sat  next to tatiana. On the way back from technology i sat next to tatiana I showed all the care values on the way there and back.

                            Peer Mediation 

On Thursday's at morning tea  Makayla and I do Peer Mediation.We go around the school where there will most likely be a problem.The thing that I am good at is remembering to do Peer Mediation.

The thing I need to work on is focus more on the area I am in.

3D printing

In this slide we have searched some questions and found the answers for them. I am really exited it start 3D printing at Te Hapua. Next Friday we are going to Te Hapua for our first lesson of 3D printing. I am still learning how to make some cool thing on the 3D printer.

Music

I can describe the characteristics of music from songs of a different time and place

Over the past 7 weeks I have been learning to describe the characteristics of music from songs of a different time and place

I can describe these characteristics in a piece of music

Harmony:is a sad or happy song

melody:is parts of a song that repeats and that is catchy

rythem: is the special part of the song and how it is put together

timbre: is the instruments that make the song unique

form: is the way how the song is made

Student Led Conference Reflection

The things I enjoyed most about my SLC were: Sharing my learning with my family and talking about what we do in our learning area .

What went well and why?sharing my asttle test and it went well because i got to show my learning and hearing what my mum and dad had to say.

What were the challenges you faced when preparing and presenting your SLC?what my mum and dad had to say about my learning.

What changes would you make for next time and why?Show around the class room because I did not show them because i had no time.
