The two things I found interesting were
- The thing that I interesting was learning about the different treaty's
-The other thing that I found interesting that there was more than one treaty

The thing that I would like to find more about is how long did it take for all the people to sign the treaty?

Te Reo, Term 4 2016

This term we have been learning all about the Marae. We have learned that…….

• The Marae is an important focal point for the community.
• The Marea is a place where tradition and customs can be carried out.
• The Marae is a place where people can express their values with dignity.
• There are many kawa ( protocols) that prevail on the marae.
• Marae kawa (protocols) can differ between maraes and iwi.

We have focussed on some key concepts when doing this learning.

These are listed and explained in the table below.

Concept	Definition - give the meaning of these concepts in your own words.
Tikanga	The correct way of doing things.
Pōwhiri	Welcoming ceremony on a marae.
Tangata whenua	Is the local people who are connected to the marae.
Manuhiri	visitors to the marae.
Tūrangawaewae	is a home base on the marae.
Whanaungatanga	Relationship of family connection.
Manaakitanga	Care of a person well being.
Aroha	Means love and can  mean respect and also the process of giving.

Parliament

Parliament

This term we have been learning about Parliament. We have looked at the difference between government and parliament, NZ parliament, who is in government, how our government works and we compared democracy to dictatorship.

Three things that I learned are NZ parliament are:

• I learnt about the different roles in Parliament. 
• I also learnt about the different between Parliament and Government. 
• I learnt about the governor in general and what she does.

Maths- Read any fraction,order fraction's with the same denominator,Count forwards /backwards in 1/2 1/3 1/4 1/5 and 1/10

What I found easy and what I found challenging?

-For Identify the fraction the thing I found easy was counting the fraction to make the answer to the question and the thing I found challenging was remembering to count all the lines that there were.

-For Arithmetic sequences with fractions the thing I found easy was adding the next number on the end the thing I found challenging was when the numbers were all in different orders and you had to try make the denominator the same and what you did to the one below you had to do to the top.

-For Identify fractions on number lines the thing I found easy was counting where the dot was on the lines and then adding them up but there was nothing I found challenging.

technology

On Tuesday the year 7/8 go to technology.

On the way to technology I sat  next to tatiana. On the way back from technology i sat next to tatiana I showed all the care values on the way there and back.

                            Peer Mediation 

On Thursday's at morning tea  Makayla and I do Peer Mediation.We go around the school where there will most likely be a problem.The thing that I am good at is remembering to do Peer Mediation.

The thing I need to work on is focus more on the area I am in.
